SNOW REPORT
Comment from Channel 13 yesterday: "Some communities to south of Rochester have already seen the first snow of the season, but officially it has been snow free at the airport. Typically, Rochester would have recorded its first measurable snowfall by November 8th. That means that we are almost three weeks overdue. According to the National Weather Service, if we measure snow by this weekend it will be the latest date for the first snowfall in 46 years. It should be noted that the all-time record in Rochester for the first snow accumulation is December 10th, 1948. An interesting side note, it has been snow free in Rochester since April 7th of this year. This is the 5th longest stretch of snow free weather in recorded history. Some would say it is just one more day closer to spring."
AND - - a photo from this morning! Yep, it's official the first snow fall of the season at Sprongs Bluff on December 1, 2009.
